Giants, Postal Service, and Off the Grid

Gabe and I met with a lawyer on Fri. I have a legal plan through work, and we wanted to get started on setting up a living trust. Now we need to start thinking about actual grown up things like, who do we want to take care of our children if, God forbid, something happened to us and who would manage our money until they're grown up. Tough questions!

After work, we went to the Giants game with Clint and Charlene. We lost. Brandon Belt got tagged out in what should have been a run, and then he let a ball go between his legs and the other team scored two on what should have been an out. It was sad. But we lost to the Cubs, so I didn't mind as much as if it'd been another team. Sometimes we root for the Cubs with Erica. : )

On Sat, we cleaned the house and then Gabe went golfing and I got a massage and mani-pedi. Afterwards, Gabe picked me up and we stopped at home, then returned the zipcar before taking BART to Berkeley. We went to see The Postal Service at the Greek Theater at UC Berkeley. It was awesome! I had such a good time. That CD was new when Gabe and I first started dating, so we listened to it all the time. We both felt very nostalgic. : )

On Sun, we took a cab up to The Presidio for Off the Grid, which is what they call the food truck gatherings here. (Right in front of the Disney Museum,E!) We ate a picnic with Clint and Charlene and another of Gabe's coworkers, Vince. Vince's wife decided not to come, but Vince brought their 9 month old, Lily. She was our entertainment for the afternoon. So cute!!!

We got a ride home with C & C and then went for a walk on the Embarcadero. We tried to stop in the Exploratorium, but they were closing, so we checked out the America's Cup Pavilion. The Exploratorium had a bunch of exhibits set up on how sailboats work, so we got to do some kids experiments anyway. : )

Then we climbed a million stairs to the top of Telegraph Hill (where Coit Tower is). On the way up, we discovered an abandoned restaurant on the side of the hill called Julian's Castle and then a random parking meter in a garden where we think a street must have been before. I like that we can still find new and interesting things even in our own neighborhood.

Last night, we ordered a deep dish pizza from Capo's, which is a new restaurant in the neighborhood. I attached a pic of the box, because I thought it was so cute.

Tonight, Gabe has guitar and I have a happy hour with some friends. It's going to be another low key week for me; I'm still trying to get over a cold I caught last week, and it's hard when you can't take any meds!
